Crying is a normal type of behaviour for a baby, however when a baby is crying inconsolably for hours, it may be very difficult for a parent to understand. Nothing you can do can help your baby when he or she has an inconsolable cry.
Constantly Crying
Inconsolable Crying & CMPA
Why is my baby crying for hours?
Your baby:
- May be suffering from colic (see Colic)
- May be hungry, tired, bored or uncomfortable
- May have a food allergy, e.g. Cow’s Milk Protein Allergy (CMPA)
In any case, if you have any doubts or concerns about your baby’s health, you should always seek advice from a medical professional as soon as possible.
