SMALL PEPTIDES
Extensively hydrolysed formulas (eHFs) are those in which the cow’s milk proteins have been extensively hydrolysed or “broken down” into small parts so that thay they are not recognised by the immune system.
Alfamino® is an amino acid-based, non-allergenic special food.
AMINO ACIDS
Amino acid-based formulas (AAFs) contain free amino acids. As they contain no cow’s milk protein, AAFs such as Alfamino® are suitable for infants and children with severe symptoms of CMPA and/or multiple food allergies..
