Children’s Chinese chicken

Ingredients
- 100g diced chicken
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/2 diced carrot
- 1/2 finely chopped small onion
- 1/2 diced courgette
- 1/2 green or red pepper, diced
- 1 tsp cornflour
- 1/2 small can pineapple chunks in natural juice
- 90 ml water
- 1/4 tsp Chinese five-spice powder (optional)
- 3 scoops of hypoallergenic formula powder
Note: Some hypoallergenic formula contain lactose and/or extensively hydrolysed milk protein.

Method
- Once you’ve heated the oil, fry the diced onion until soft and then stir in the diced chicken pieces
- Once the chicken is brown, stir in the vegetables and cook for another 3 minutes
- In a separate bowl, slowly stir in the water to the cornflour
- Add this paste to the pan along with the drained pineapple chunks and – if you’re using it – the Chinese spice
- Let the dish simmer for another 10 to 15 minutes, stirring regularly, until everything is well cooked
- Set aside. Once cool enough to serve, mix in the hypoallergenic formula powder
